1. Nature of the Crowdfunding Campaign
The Zero Drag crowdfunding campaign is a reward-based crowdfunding initiative intended to support the development, production, publishing, testing, marketing, and release of the game Zero Drag by Rural Games Studio.
A contribution made through this campaign is a voluntary support pledge toward independent video game creation. It is NOT an investment in Rural Games Studio or Zero Drag.
Making a contribution does NOT provide the Backer with: shares or equity in Rural Games; ownership of Rural Games or Zero Drag; voting or management rights; intellectual-property ownership; revenue or profit-sharing rights; interest; dividends; or any guaranteed financial return.
Backers receive only the rewards and benefits associated with their selected contribution tier.
2. Use of Crowdfunding Funds
Funds raised through the campaign may be used for expenses connected with Zero Drag and its development/release, including: game development, artwork, animation, audio production, software/tools, testing, publishing, digital infrastructure, legal/IP work, marketing, operational expenses, and post-launch support.
The budget displayed on the crowdfunding page is an estimated allocation. Rural Games may reasonably redistribute funds between development categories when required by production circumstances (for example, if less money is required for one production area but additional QA or development work becomes necessary, funds may be reallocated accordingly). This does not entitle Backers to ownership or control over how individual development expenses are managed.
3. Backer Tiers & Rewards
Backers may select one of the contribution tiers displayed on the campaign page. Each tier clearly states: contribution amount; Backer rank; included digital rewards; game entitlement, where applicable; recognition/credits, where applicable; and any special benefits.

- ₹149 — Bronze Backer: 4K Wallpapers (Desktop & Mobile) + High-Res Concept Art PDF.
- ₹399 — Silver Backer (Most Popular): Full Digital Game Copy of Zero Drag on release + Digital OST + Credits Name.
- ₹799 — Gold Backer: 2 Full Digital Game Keys + Digital Artbook + Early Beta Access.
- ₹1,999 — Elite Backer: Exclusive In-Game Supporter Jacket Skin + Alpha Playtest Access + Priority Discord Voice Access.
- ₹3,999 — Founder Backer (Maximum Cap): NPC Name Tribute in Game World + Producer Credits + Commemorative Physical Certificate.
4. Game Copy Reward
Where a crowdfunding tier includes a copy of Zero Drag, the Backer will become eligible to receive the game according to the delivery method specified for that tier. The reward may be delivered through a supported distribution platform, activation key, Rural Games account entitlement, or another officially announced delivery method.
Platform availability may change during development. Unless explicitly promised otherwise, purchasing a crowdfunding tier does not automatically guarantee copies for every platform on which Zero Drag may eventually release.
5. Digital & In-Game Rewards
Certain Backer tiers contain digital wallpapers, soundtrack, digital artbook, account badges, Backer ranks, exclusive cosmetic content, in-game items, supporter recognition, or credits. These rewards are primarily digital and generally have no redeemable cash value. They cannot be exchanged for company ownership, profit participation, or financial returns.
Rural Games may make reasonable technical or artistic modifications to a reward if necessary during development. If a specific reward becomes impossible to provide, Rural Games may provide a reasonably comparable replacement where appropriate.
6. Development Risk
Important Notice: Zero Drag is currently under development. Video-game development is an evolving process and may involve technical problems, design changes, production delays, staffing changes, platform requirements, performance issues, certification requirements, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Therefore, screenshots, concepts, mechanics, environments, characters, features and other development material shown during the campaign represent work in progress. The final game may reasonably differ from early development material.
However, Rural Games must not knowingly advertise features or rewards it does not genuinely intend to provide. Indian e-commerce rules require online representations/advertisements to be consistent with the actual characteristics and conditions of the goods or services being offered.
7. Release Dates & Estimated Delivery
Any release date or reward-delivery date marked as an “estimated,” “expected,” “target,” or similar date represents Rural Games' current development target. It should not be interpreted as an unconditional guarantee unless Rural Games specifically identifies it as such.
If development is delayed, Rural Games should provide Backers with reasonable updates regarding significant changes to the expected timeline. A delay itself does not automatically mean that the project has been cancelled.
8. Project Changes & Flexibility
Game development changes over time. Rural Games therefore reserves reasonable flexibility to modify: gameplay systems, story elements, environments, characters, artwork, UI, technical implementation, release schedule, supported features, and other work-in-progress elements. However, this flexibility should not be interpreted as permission to materially misrepresent what Backers purchased (for example, if a tier promises a game copy, that entitlement will not be removed).
9. Crowdfunding Goal
The campaign may display a target funding goal (for example, ₹5,00,000 Goal). Reaching the funding goal does not represent a guarantee regarding commercial success, profitability, review scores, sales performance, or exact release date. The funding target represents the amount Rural Games estimates will help fund stated development objectives.
10. Intellectual Property
All intellectual-property rights relating to Zero Drag and Rural Games remain with their respective lawful owner(s). This includes game title, branding, characters, story, artwork, code, game assets, music, designs, logos, and creative material. A Backer's contribution does not transfer any intellectual-property ownership to the Backer.
11. Backer Credits & Public Recognition
If a reward includes the Backer's name in the game, website, or credits, Rural Games will allow the Backer to provide an appropriate display name. Rural Games may reject names containing hate speech, harassment, impersonation, illegal content, explicit material, or trademark violations. Backers also have the option to remain anonymous.
12. Age Requirements
A user making a contribution must have the legal capacity/authorization required to enter the transaction. Where a user is a minor, appropriate consent or authorization from a parent/legal guardian is required.
13. Communication With Backers
Rural Games will provide meaningful development updates when there are significant developments affecting the campaign (development progress, major milestones, important delays, reward delivery updates, release information).
14. No Guarantee of Commercial Success
Supporting Zero Drag does not guarantee commercial success, profit generation, review scores, or copy sales targets. Backers receive promised eligible rewards, not financial interests.
15. Limitation of Liability & Terms Changes
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rural Games will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from participation in the crowdfunding campaign. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indian law.
Rural Games may update these Terms when reasonably necessary due to legal, technical, or operational updates. Material changes will not retroactively remove rewards already purchased.
16. Governing Law & Acceptance at Checkout
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be handled in accordance with applicable Indian law.
Before payment at checkout, every user must confirm: "☐ I have read and agree to the Crowdfunding Policies & Backer Terms, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and Privacy Policy." The system records policy version, timestamp, player account ID, and transaction ID for compliance proof.
1. Refund Policy & Specific Scenarios
Our refund procedures comply strictly with India's E-Commerce Rules, ensuring fair treatment across all scenarios:
A. Duplicate Payment
If a Backer is accidentally charged multiple times for the same intended contribution, they may contact Rural Games requesting correction/refund of the duplicate transaction. Proof of double charge will result in an immediate 100% refund of the duplicate amount.
B. Failed Payment but Amount Debited
If money is debited but Rural Games does not receive confirmation of a successful contribution, the transaction will be investigated using payment-gateway records. Any refund/reversal will be processed according to the payment provider's applicable process (typically 5–7 business days).
C. Unauthorized/Fraudulent Payment
If a Backer believes that their payment method was used without authorization, they should immediately contact their bank/payment provider and Rural Games support. Associated rewards may be temporarily suspended while the transaction is investigated.
D. Change of Mind
During the pre-registration phase, funding gates are disabled and no payments are debited. Once live funding opens, voluntary change-of-mind requests submitted within 14 calendar days of payment will be honored, provided digital game keys have not been redeemed.
E. Rural Games Cancels the Campaign
If Rural Games cancels the crowdfunding campaign before funds are committed to production, 100% full refunds will be clearly communicated and returned to affected Backers.
F. Game Cancellation
If Zero Drag permanently ceases development, Rural Games will notify Backers and explain: the status of the project; rewards already delivered; rewards that cannot be delivered; status/use of campaign funds; and remedies applicable under campaign terms and applicable Indian consumer protection law.
2. Refund Method & Timelines
Where a refund is approved, it is returned through the original payment method (UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking) handled by our payment provider.
Expected Processing Timelines: UPI & Net Banking: 24 to 48 hours; Debit & Credit Cards: 5 to 7 business days. Timelines depend on payment gateway logs and issuing bank processing cycles.
3. Reward Revocation After Refund
If a contribution is refunded, reversed, disputed, or successfully charged back, any rewards associated with that contribution will be cancelled. For example, if a ₹1,999 Gold Backer payment is refunded, Gold Backer entitlements and digital keys are revoked.
4. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Backers should contact Rural Games support before initiating a chargeback so that genuine billing problems can be investigated. Fraudulent chargebacks or intentional payment abuse may result in suspension of associated rewards, player account suspension, and transaction investigation.
5. International Backers & Currency
International contributions are accepted only through authorized cross-border payment aggregators enabled under RBI guidelines. International transactions may involve currency conversion, foreign transaction fees, and bank charges levied by issuing institutions.
6. Statutory Taxes & GST Transparency
Contribution amounts include or explicitly disclose applicable Indian Goods and Services Tax (GST) as required by law. Total payable amounts are clearly displayed prior to final payment authorization.
7. Payment Aggregator Security
Payments are processed using official PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways (such as Razorpay) operating under RBI merchant due-diligence rules. Rural Games does not store sensitive credit card credentials or banking PINs on its servers.

Backer benefits are connected to your official Rural Games Player Account. Your registered account dashboard securely stores and displays:
- Zero Drag Backer Status & Tier Rank
- Contribution History & Receipt Records
- Unlocked Digital Rewards & Wallpapers
- Game Copy Entitlements & Key Activation Keys
- Reward Delivery & Dispatch Status
Backers are responsible for maintaining credentials and securing their linked email address.
2. Privacy & Personal Data (DPDP Act 2023 Compliance)
Rural Games Studio processes personal data in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. Information collected—including name, email address, player account ID, contribution amount, transaction reference, tier, country/region, and support communications—is used strictly for:
- Processing campaign pledges and delivering promised rewards
- Verifying player accounts and distributing digital game keys
- Fulfilling public backer credits options
- Communicating campaign progress and answering support inquiries
Personal data is NEVER sold or shared with unauthorized third parties. Payment card details are handled by certified payment gateways rather than stored directly by Rural Games.
3. Grievance & Support Redressal
In compliance with India's Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, Rural Games Studio provides accessible grievance channels for Backers:
